Clara was rescued as a stray in Coin in mid-2019, at risk of busy traffic and unfriendly humans.
Clara came to the Pat’s Rescue after this, Pat has worked with Clara to gain her trust and has made good progress, at the beginning she was not socialized at all with humans or dogs, but now she feels safe. Her early experiences made her fear humans at first, but she has lots of love to give.
She has been in the house since Autumn 2021, so is fully house trained and enjoys domestic comforts, and seeks out affection and cuddles from Pat.
Standing at 72cms floor to shoulder, Clara is neutered, vaccinated and ready to find a caring forever home.
Clara is low positive for Leish 1/40 and is being managed by Alopurinol (August 2022)
Clara loves to do the rounds with the other dogs giving them grooming sessions, licking and cleaning their faces so she really has a caring nature.
Clara would really need a home who are experienced with large breeds and are willing to allow her the time she will need to get to know them, some supervision at meal times is needed if you have other dogs who would interfere with her food. Pat would only consider a home for Clara with children who are older, not noisy and dog-savvy considering her need to build trust quietly and patiently. She has not been child or cat tested yet.
