Hopalong, a 3 legged mastiff bitch - she appears to have lost her leg in a trap? - turned up in my garden in March, extremely thin, scared and wild....and on heat, it turns out! She was soon joined by a young abandoned husky and now there are also 7 fluffy, blue eyed, mastin crosses, who are nearly 5 weeks old in the garden.
She has a sweet nature, with a typically goofy, guard dog character, and is much less scared of people now, although still barks frantically at strangers. She is very happy to have love and attention, but doesn't seek it. She manages very well on her 3 legs and can run fast. The only time I've heard her growl is when the husky comes near her when she is eating.
I am planning to get her spayed as soon as the puppies are weaned. She also will need vaccinations etc if she has to travel outside Spain, so not immediately available in that sense?
