Baloo is a 9-year-old mixed breed who has been in the shelter for 1,446 long days. He was left behind by those he thought were his family. It’s sad to go from a home to a cage where your entire environment is completely different from what you were used to.
Baloo has had cage mates, both female and male. He gets along well with them and could live in a home with more dogs, after an introduction to ensure they are compatible. He is not an excessively affectionate dog, which should be respected, giving him his space until he feels comfortable enough to give you his affection and companionship.
That doesn’t mean he doesn’t love being with the volunteers and greeting you every time someone approaches his cage, wishing to go out with you and enjoy running through the fields
Baloo needs an owner who is committed to taking care of him, being his guide and sharing each day together.
We are looking for a home with no young children to reduce any risk.
